at Midlands Park Hotel
Midlands Park Hotel were using on average 60,000 litres of water a day and we believed they we had no underlying water issues. We were receiving quarterly water bills but we had no way to validate if the usage and cost were correct. Physical checks of the building indicated there were no water issues. SMART FLOW was selected to assist with water validation and detect any future water issues within the premises.
Once SMARTFLOW was installed it detected a major leak in the Health Club. It was difficult to locate the root of the leak, turning off different access points in stages. A major leak was then identified, and the issue has been rectified.
The water usage has been reduced from 75,000 litres/day down to 15,000 litres/day. This will result in a saving of around €54,000/year.

- We communicate with our guests and staff members on ways to conserve water, such as reusing towels and avoiding unnecessary laundering during a stay.
- We use environmentally friendly washing and cleaning products throughout Midlands Park Hotel.
- All single use plastics have been removed from the hotel where possible and we have installed guest water fountains on each floor.
