Nestled in the heart of Portlaoise, the 4 star Midlands Park Hotel boasts a captivating history. From its humble beginnings as the Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise to its transformation into a luxurious 4-star destination, our hotel’s journey is a testament to resilience, evolution and the enduring spirit of hospitality.

Our History

Formerly known as the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel which opened its doors in the summer of 2002. Dalata Hotel Group managed the hotel from 2009. In 2015, Anthony and Colm Neville, who also own the Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club in Enniscorthy and Crown Quarter in Wexford, purchased the town centre hotel.

The Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise was rebranded as the Midlands Park Hotel and Conference Centre on Monday 22nd May 2017 as part of a €7 million refurbishment project that created 50 new jobs in County Laois. The newly-refurbished Midlands Park Hotel included 117 deluxe bedrooms, five specially-designed executive suites, a bridal suite, function room, conference centre, two restaurants and a variety of leisure facilities.

Over the years, we continue enhancing our facilities to ensure that every guest enjoys a truly unforgettable experience. Just recently we introduced our newly refurbished Couples Deluxe Rooms and also the upgrade of our Health & Fitness Club.
