The Curragh Racecourse, the home of Irish flat racing is located in Newbridge in Co. Kildare just 25 minutes drive from Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise. Racing takes place 24 days each year from mid-March until early November.

The Curragh Racecourse is easily accessible with free parking (From Dublin take Exit 9 off the M50 onto the N7 southbound and from Portlaoise take Exit 12 off the M7).
